Sanskrit Is the Most Ancient and Perfect Among the Languages of the World.
The university was founded on 22 March, 1958 at Varanasi.
It was renamed as Sampurnanand Sanskrit University under the U.P. State University Act, 1973, with effect from 16 Dec. 1974.
संस्कृत विश्व की सभी भाषाओं में सबसे प्राचीन और स्वयं में पूर्ण है।
विश्वविद्यालय की स्थापना 22 मार्च, 1958 को वाराणसी में की गई।
1973 के यूपी राज्य विश्वविद्यालय अधिनियम के तहत इसे 16 दिसंबर, 1974 से 'संपूर्णानन्द संस्कृत विश्वविद्यालय' के रूप में पुनः नामांकित किया गया।
